Reminiscing on the Arizona Daily Star Feature

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Arizona Daily Star and the Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona for highlighting Stories From Home and Safos Dance Theatre in the newspaper on July 19th, 2024.

The article, titled "Historical Amount of Federal Arts Funds Have Rolled Into Tucson," shared the incredible news that Tucson received a historic amount of federal arts funding. The Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona awarded a remarkable $3.2 million in grants to 662 local artists and arts groups, helping us all navigate the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Being part of such a supportive and vibrant community means the world to us. We are deeply grateful for the recognition and for the generous support that enables us to continue sharing our stories through dance. This feature is a testament to the strength and resilience of the arts community in Tucson, and I am proud to be a part of it.
