I am excited to announce that I was nominated for a 2019 Governor’s Arts Award in the Artist category. It is an honor to be recognized along with 60 Arizona artists and arts serving organizations. The 2019 Governor’s Arts Awards honorees will be announced at a gala dinner celebration on March 7, 2019 in Phoenix. Thank you to my colleagues in the Arizona and Southwest arts communities for the nomination!!
I had the the wonderful opportunity to talk about Dance in the Desert on a panel entitled "Dance and Art in the Sonoran Desert" with my brilliant colleagues Gabriela Munoz, M Jenea Sanchez, and Erin Donohue at the National Performance Network's annual conference this afternoon.
This evening, I attend Opening Night of "Uncovered" Grand Canyon University's Winter Dance Concert which featured the premiere of "Uprooted," a piece I choreographed for GCU's graduating seniors in September. It was an honor to have my piece close the show. Thank you GCU dancers!! Photos by Tim Trumble courtesy of GCU.
