Greetings from Moab! 🌄 We loved getting to perform at the Historic Star Hall! We also had so much fun for the storytelling and luminaria workshop beforehand. Deslenguadas Journal
Deslenguadas, a dance inspired by a writing of the same name published in Gloria Anzaldúa’s Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza, is a series of three dances – one duet and two solos. PHX Art Museum
This past weekend at the Phoenix Art Museum’s Second Saturday, Safos shared moments from Stories from Home through dance, storytelling, and art making. From stage to sketch, kids and families joined us in creating and sharing what “home” means to them. ✨ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who danced, drew, and dreamed with us. It was truly a day well spent. 💛
