Stories from Home at Noche de Baile: Connecting Through Dance
We had an unforgettable experience dancing in Noche de Baile, a vibrant evening of performances that celebrated Latine dance artistry in San Diego.
On August 27, 2024, the company was honored to join five other incredible Latine dance companies in this independent showcase, part of the Western Arts Alliance (WAA) Annual Conference's Conexiones Track.
The event, held at UC San Diego's Wagner Dance Building, was filled with energy and cultural pride. We were in amazing company, sharing the stage CONTRA-TIEMPO, push/FOLD, Jesús Muñoz Flamenco, Vanessa Sanchez y La Mezcla, and Cuauhtemoc Peranda from Weaving Spirits Fest. Each group brought their unique voice to the stage, creating an evening rich with diverse expressions of Latinidad through dance.
Our Stories From Home excerpt, offered the audience a glimpse into our narrative-driven work, rooted in personal and cultural stories from the American Southwest.
We are grateful to be part of the collective that organized Noche de Baile. And we look forward to future opportunities to continue this beautiful exchange of culture and creativity.
