Stories from Home shines at the Western Arts Alliance Juried Showcase

In August, the cast of Stories From Home had the incredible opportunity to perform in the Juried Showcase at the Western Arts Alliance (WAA) Annual Conference in San Diego.

The evening of August 26, 2024, at the Town and Country Resort was a special moment for our company, as we shared dances Pajarito and Braceros, two powerful excerpts of Stories from Home, with the WAA community.  

Both dances were not just performances but heartfelt tributes to the oral traditions of Nuevomexicano, Chicano, and Mexican American communities.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to share these stories from the Southwest on such a prestigious platform. And we are proud to have represented our Arizona and Southwest dance community at this year’s WAA Conference.

We look forward to many more opportunities to connect with new audiences and continue sharing these stories.
