GALA Hispanic Theatre Announces Full Premiere
Join us for the full premiere of Stories from Home this October at GALA Hispanic Theatre in Washington, DC!
GALA Hispanic Theatre announced their 2023/24 artistic season in early July and we are thrilled to be a part of it! The Stories from Home team is excited to share this work with the DC community.
This is what GALA has to say about the work:
"Montoya’s choreography breathes life into untold Latino stories of the American Southwest. Drawing from personal histories and ancestral knowledge passed down from generation to generation, her stories reveal the true impact of the Bracero Program on Southwest communities, the environmental impact of the development of the atomic bomb on Latino communities and claiming her Sephardic roots. Montoya and company celebrate the power of heritage, resilience, and the transformative force of dance."
