Southern New Mexico Data Collection!

From the desert dunes to folklórico traditions 🌵💃

Last week, Dance in the Desert Community Liaison, Angel Guanjuato and I traveled to Southern New Mexico to connect with local dancers and gather stories from the community. Our journey took us through Alamogordo, White Sands, Las Cruces, and Deming, New Mexico ending with a short stop at the vibrant ANGF (Asociación Nacional de Grupos Folklóricos) gathering in El Paso, TX where we closed the trip by interviewing two incredible folklórico dancers from Las Cruces.
