Siglos. Sueños. Sefarad. - Western Jewish Studies Association Conference

On March 16, 2021 I presented the paper Stories from Home:Siglos. Sueños. Sefarad. at the Western Jewish Studies Association (WJSA)Virtual 25th Annual Conference hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I presented in Panel 23: Dancing the Jewish Experience.

The paper explores how embodied research and the choreographic process can act as tools to recover ancestral secrets and hidden identities. Searching for memories and connections to cultures and lands that have faded over time, the paper asks: Where do ancestral memories live in the body? How does one remember and recover what was hidden for so long?
