New Mexico premiere ofStories from Home

In the heart of the Southwest, under those vast skies where the horizon stretches endlessly, the Stories from Home team recently brought to life two unique performances that wove the rich textures of local narratives into unforgettable experiences of dance and storytelling.The first of those performances was the New Mexico premiere of Stories from Home that took place Friday March 1, 2024,  in Socorro, NM.It was an incredible performance! In addition to a phenomenal performance, some highlights include: 

• Artistic Director Yvonne Montoya as a special guest at Voices of Women, a luncheon that featured local women sharing their journeys.

• The Socorro Women's Artist Reception HERstories from Home in the lobby prior to the show. The exhibit in the lobby featured incredible artwork by local women artists.

• The showcasing of local oral histories with community elders that played in the lobby before the show.
